Recording Artist “Ernie Anthony Lowe” also known as “Kulcha Doc” born in a district call Bamboo River in Morant Bay St Thomas. 

Kulcha Doc find music to be very inspirational and influential to young and older people in today’s society. He describes his personality as observant, energetic, creative, jovial and down to earth.

 He started music at age 15 and gain the passion through listening to some of Jamaica’s known influential Artist’s like Dennis Brown, Burning Spears, Shaba Ranks just to name a few. 

Doing music was a tradition in Kulcha Doc family, his father was a great base guitar player/singer. 

His first studio experience was a dubplate for Love Connection Sound system, it was a collaboration with the late “Bearfoot Man”, at age 17 at King Jammy studio in Waterhouse, which gave him the drive to go all out in music. 

He then start working with a producer name Reelo from Reelo Records with tracks like “Elimination and Woman Again” on a version of the Punnani Riddim. He then starts working with another producer name Robert Young Sang whose label was psychic records and crew with Cecil Willams aka DJ Bun Pan, Oniel Shines/Diamond, Bad Sharge, Beeno Ranks aka Craig Ed East and his self-there he recorded a song call “Hotta”. 

His music career start growing even more as he was exercising his vocals on several sound systems in and around his hometown, King Stitch, King Majesty, Studio Force and Mello Construction just to name a few. 

There was a situation where he had damaged his own hair cut one Christmas eve by scraping both sides of his head clean and his friends start calling him “Duppy Doc” and the name sticks, that was his first career name.

Then came another Artist who called himself DJ Duppy and there was Ghost from Ghost and Culture. So he decided to change his name later to Kulcha Doc.

How ever some years later one of his friend/producers encouraged him to venture into the production aspect, so thats when “East Vibration Records” came alive.

His first project was called “New Stock Riddim” with various Artist’s like Koolant Brown, Chris Cosmic, AD-V, Ash, Kayla Di Diva and his self of course. 

Kulcha Doc never gave up on his journey, his music as always been a weapon to fight his situation as a ongoing obstacles.

 Kulcha Doc continue to drop motivational music like “Pree Medz and Racial War”. Now in 2026 he’s getting a bigger highlight with his new big project name “Holy Mountain Riddim” with Artist like Natty King, Turbulence, Pam Hall, Pasco Suhfar and few more Artist’s. 

“Kulcha Doc” is now working on marketing strategies to promote the Holy Mountain Riddim and his two singles, title track “Holy Mountain” and “Parables” on the same riddim, also to push his music and recording label to higher heights.

Growing up listening to dancehall cassette, and different cultural artist like: Brigadier Jerry, Charlie Chaplin, Early B (The Doctor), and his all-time favorites, Mr. Garnett Silk. It’s safe to say he was easily influenced. He started to write his own music, and became Ras Otis I. His first single was “Supposed to do” which dropped back in early to mid 2000’s. And he became more known in the Cultural Reggae world in Toronto. As the years went by his songbooks got fuller, but Ras Otis I no longer was.

Music Career

Rueben Heights made his stage debut in 1997 at a fundraising event held at a local soccer club. His smooth delivery, commanding presence, and authentic reggae sound quickly earned him admiration from audiences. His growing reputation led to appearances on several radio stations and performances at events throughout Canada, allowing him to showcase his talent to wider audiences.

In 2002, Rueben Heights founded his own label, New Iple Records, and partnered with Slam Production Studio to release his album “Universal Discipline.” The project featured standout singles such as “Wall Street” and “Talk to Me,” receiving positive feedback and helping solidify his position in the Canadian reggae landscape.

As his career evolved, Rueben refined his sound—merging live instrumentation with digital rhythms while embracing a deeper spiritual tone influenced by Rastafarian teachings.
